Police have failed to trace the body of Christopher Aine at Mulago hospital. Officers led by police surgeon, Moses Byaruhanga together with Aine’s relatives this afternoon examined all bodies at the city mortuary in search for his body but in vain.
Police spokesman Fred Enanga insists the pictures released on social media must have been photo shopped or of another body.
However Aine’s twin sister Babirye Aine maintains the body shown on social media and red pepper is of his brother.
Babirye says the marks on Aine’s neck are on an accident he got years back and so are the broken teeth. She is now tasking police to force the Red Pepper produce the source of the picture it ran as a starting point to get to the whereabouts of his brother.
Meanwhile, Inspector General of police Kale Kayihura while delivering New Year message, he said “he will give Shs20million” to whoever has information regarding Aine’s whereabouts.
“Police has issued notice to the public appealing for any information as to his whereabouts so that we apprehend him to answer charges relating to the incidents of beatings in Ntungamo district. We have put a reward of Shs20 million for anyone who can help Police with information leading to his arrest and prosecution,” he said.
