Police has summoned the Red Pepper Editors over a story published today titled Aine “Dead” Body Emerge.
In a letter dated January 7, Mr. Odongo Mark Paul, Deputy Director Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Directorate and Special Investigations Division summoned the Chief Editor of Red Pepper Publications for an interview and statement recording.
“The Special Investigations Division is conducting investigations into the publications titled AINE "BODY" EMERGES that was carried on pages 1 and 4 in the Red Pepper dated 07/01/2016,” the summons reads.
Pursuant to the sections 27A of the Police Act, you are required to report to Special Investigations Division Kireka, today Thursday 07/01/2016 at 1630hrs, to assist in providing information in respect to the matter being investigated,” it continues.
