NRM presidential candidate H.E Yoweri Museveni has promised to expand Rushere Hospital to serve the people of Kiruhura.
The president made the promise while addressing his last rally of Thursday at Nyabushozi County in Kiruhura district.
At a rally characterized by a heavy downpour, Museveni said his government had also bought machines to help extract water for the farmers.
He called on the people of Kiruhura, just like other Ugandans, to desist from land fragmentation saying families should jointly farm and only share proceeds from what they harvest and sell.
So far NRM has collected more than 200 head of cattle in donations which will be put at one of the government farms in the country.
Before heading to Nyabushozi, President Museveni thanked the people of Ruhinda North for voting Thomas Tayebwa as MP unopposed. The president was also shocked that Ruhinda is a dark place without electricity and promised to address that.
He also said the Kashenyi-Mitooma road will be tarmacked soon and will continue to Rukungiri. Similarly the Katungulu-Kihihi-Ishasha road will be tarmacked.
“On the side of water, Nyamayanga and Kitoma have got piped water. But Katonga, Rushozi, Kigenda, Kihihi, Katagata will get it soon.”
He also took time off to ask the people of Mitooma to vote him. “Don't forget to vote for the old man with a hat and all NRM flag bearers.”
