The NRM Presidential candidate Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has called on Ugandans to stop being ingrates and respect the party that saved them from the misery of pre 1986.
Museveni said this as he launched his campaigns in Buganda sub-region after what he calls a very successful trail in Bunyoro sub-region.
The launch took place in Kiboga East, Kiboga District.
Museveni thanked the ruling NRM supporters who turned up in Kiboga and later Kyankwanzi arguing that at the rallies, development knows neither tribe nor religion.
He called on Ugandans to shun those who try to politically rally people on sectarian grounds saying if the country is to develop, such politicians should be avoided.
He also said “those attacking the NRM today yet it nurtured them should remember what the Bible says, that 'honour your father and mother so that your days may be many'.” Museveni added “The Banyankole also have a proverb around a foolish child who mistakes his parents' praise for his own.”
