The forum for democratic change, FDC party presidential candidate Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye says he will not give up on the defiance campaign, just a day to the presidential polls.
Addressing the media this morning, Besigye said he will not be intimidated by the “No Change” camp which has launched a cowardice attack on his supporters.
Besigye’s words come a day after his arrest in Kampala as he tried to access Nasser road in the city center where he was scheduled to address a rally.
However, the police arrested him when he refused to follow its guidelines on which routes to follow, causing ugly scenes that would later lead to death of his supporter in Wandegeya.
“One man was killed yesterday: We shall mourn his loss & declare him a hero of the liberation struggle.” Says Besigye
Besigye also called upon his supporters to defy EC laws especially one that bars anybody from carrying their phones to polling stations.
Besigye today crowns his campaigns in Kampala with a rally at Nakawa, and the final one at Naguru. At the moment, Besigye is moving to Kampala, sandwiched by crowd of people dancing and cleaning roads for him.
