Voting deadline has been extended to 7 PM following delays in Kampala and Wakiso districts, Voting in the two districts had not started by mid-day with voters lining up but waiting for voting material.
"Voting will go on at polling stations up to 7:00PM in Kampala and surrounding where it started late" --EC
Dr. Badru Kiggundu, the EC chairman issued a statement to apologize to the voters in the two voting constituencies. EC Chairman said materials for Wakiso and Kampala parts were yet to be dispatched from the EC warehouse.
"I want to present an apology from EC. There has been some delay in delivery in parts of Wakiso and Kampala."
Meanwhile, in some regions like Luwero, vote counting has already started.
