There's no doubt, Some FDC supporters on social media are a den of the world's most ornery and contrarian front-running trolls in the history of the web. They will try to force you to like something you don't and won't let you have your peace until you trick them into thinking you side with them.
FDC flag bearer, Dr. Kizza Besigye, who by the way has lost four times to the current sitting president Y.K. Museveni, still hopes to become president of the republic of Uganda by winning on the sympathy vote. According to some analysts, Besigye has been and continues to take advantage of people's emotions by getting himself in trouble with the cops everytime there's a camera around.
FDC supporters have finally met their match, Andrew Mwenda—yeah right, that guy!
Mwenda says over 95% of the tweets he sees on his feed don't respond to his questions but are only insults from FDC supportes ... something he says is a sign of backwardness.
In a series of tweets, Mwenda exposed the perversity of these trolls ... see below!
Besigye did not win this election. But I agree he won the propaganda war and successfully shaped perception of the election outcome

FDC should by now have built capacity to protect its vote. If it can't protect its vote, how will it protect Uganda? https://t.co/udB8NAAUwc

The tendency of FDC supporters using insult as a weapon to argue their case reflects lack of confidence in the strength of their arguments
— Andrew M. Mwenda (@AndrewMwenda) February 27, 2016
FDC supporters think they can insult their way out of arguments. You can't win an argument but insult but by counter argument

95% of the tweets I see on my feed don't respond to my question but only send insults. That is backwardness https://t.co/1jcmsIaGb1

They claim to have been rigged out of victory four times. What have they learnt from that? https://t.co/CXm2YWu1kF

Organization lacking ability 2 counter argument with argument will tend to counter strategy with emotion. That is not a formula for success
— Andrew M. Mwenda (@AndrewMwenda) February 27, 2016
To respond to an argument with an insult or a personal attack is a sign that u lack a strong basis to support your point of view
— Andrew M. Mwenda (@AndrewMwenda) February 27, 2016
FDC lost coz it's supporters are emotional, not reasonable. They don't reason, they insult thinking that is all it takes to win an argument

How do we explain failure of FDC to field candidates in 89 constituencies? Did NRM rig them from contesting as well? https://t.co/iLCA1pZQl6

Why should anyone believe these documents to be authentic especially in the face of myriad FDC forgeries https://t.co/50080PffeC

You cannot force good ideas on people who do not want them @AndrewMwenda
@AndrewMwenda FDC lost miserably because majority of their supporters are urban hooligans, idlers and errant youth that did not even vote.

@AndrewMwenda that's the problem of voting over social media in the urban areas.
