Mr Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda, the FDC party spokesman, during a press conference on Monday at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, Kampala, asked all FDC supportes in the country to stay at home and boycott work today, 10th.

“Starting this Thursday we will not be going to work every Thursday of the week and we call upon all Ugandans who voted for Dr Kizza Besigye to stay home that day. The home imprisonment will be in protest of the detention of Dr Besigye,” Mr Ssemujju

However, some startling discoveries amid this campaign have shocked many. Apparently, business owned by Dr. Kizza Besigye (Party Flag Bearer) and Mugisha Muntu (Party president) are open and running like nothing is supposed to happen today.

A video shared on Bebe Cool's official Facebook fan page with the caption that reads ...

After the fdc press conference where they asked Ugandans to close their businesses every Thursday to prove bla bla black, I made it a point to go through town to check out the businesses owned by the leader.
Total petrol station in Nsambya is where I stopped. To my surprise it was open as usual n I decided to buy some fuel to support the opposition leader in his endeavour to make money, eradicate poverty and lead a good life.
Many Ugandans did not go to work which is also ok.
I only thought a true leader leads by example.
I thought a true leader shares the pain with his people.
Am proud I made a good choice of NRM n YOWERI KAGUTA MUSEVENI FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.
Watch the video below.

... shows that the Besigye-Owned Total petrol station in Nsambya is working.

Other discoveries being made ...

  • Mugisha Muntu
  • The FDC party President apprently own shares in Global Coach which is working today. Global Coach offices in Kisenyi Bus Terminal probably don't know there's a boycott.
  • Mr. Nathan Nandala Mafabi
  • Employees at Mafabi's coffee factory were thrilled with the boycott news and thought today was going to be holiday, but they say they've been carrying coffee sacks all day.
