The opposition Uganda people’s congress, UPC party which is in bed with the ruling National Resistance Movement, NRM party to make some political marriage has warned its members against joining any defiance campaigns fueled by other opposition parties.
During their party weekly presser at Uganda house this morning, the party secretary General Edward Sseganyi called upon all UPC members to maintain peace and stability in order to keep their newly found lover, (NRM) close and happy.
“Realizing that our country is going through a critical period in her history, Uganda People’s Congress would like to call upon her members and the citizens of Uganda to remain focused on the call for peace and avoid engagements that are detrimental to peace, stability and unity of the country” said Sseganyi.
He added the country has gone through a lot of carnage, wars and killings to solve political questions and it is high time people considered peace over war.
