A few days back, Parliament alleged that presidential advisers are not given ample time to meet the President, and end up begging them (MPs) to help them access the fountain of honor.
However, it has come to light that Ministers too are faced with the same problems. Minister without Portfolio, also former LCV chairperson for Luweero Hajji Abdul Nadduli has surprised many when he begged to be allowed direct access to the President.
Speaking to Front for National Salvation (FRONASA ) members in Rwanyamahembe Sub County Kashari South, at the home of former western region chairman Edward Bashaija, a nearly tearful Nadduli asked to be allowed at least a minute to brief Museveni about what he termed as “serious issues and developments” in the country.
He accused a section of people of making it their business to keep President Museveni in the dark of activities taking place in the country due to selfish interests.
An angry Nadduli was quoted warning; “I am going to ask the President to allow me to reach him directly without sending letters through some people who will not deliver the message because of their selfish sentiments. President is tired of people lying to him.’’
The minister laid a wreath on Bashaija grave, he died on July 21.
