Singer Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, alias Bobi wine has been arrested and taken to Kiira division police station.
Kyagulanyi was slated to hold his final rally at Kasangati town council grounds according to the electoral commission program.
Former presidential candidate Samuel Lubega mukaku who led a group of Bobi Wine supporters, told Galaxy fm that Bobi has a letter allowing him access to the venue, but Police says otherwise.
Bobi Wine was first held at Kasangati police post, before being transferred to Kiira division police station.
His arrest came shortly after police deployed thousands of its men in the area, ahead of the rally of NRM’s Sitenda Sebalu which will be joined by President Yoweri Museveni at Wampewo grounds.
Kantinti joined Bobi’s supporters to go to police, demanding his release. Kantinti says as an MP of Kyadondo East, it is his role to fight such impunity.
He says there is no way they can go through the last day without one of the candidates.
