Kiira Municipality Member of Parliament Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda wants President Yoweri Museveni to stop taking the fight against lifting of age limit personal.

Addressing the press at Parliament this morning, Nganda who is among the 25 suspended legislators said he has nothing against Museveni, but a call for respect of the constitution.

The development followed Wednesday’s scuffle in parliament where highly trained officers evaded the house and carried opposition MPs out like potatoes sacks, following the Speaker’s pronunciation.

Kadaga made the decision following rowdy events that forced her to adjourn the house on Tuesday when opposition MPs attempted to stop Rafael Magyezi from tabling a motion on age limit.

Now, Nganda says the president is taking the nation for granted and looking at all legislators as some kids, considering they were all young when he went into power.

“I was kidnapped from parliament, dragged on the floor, then they threw me in that group of Museveni royal guards that were waiting. They started strangling me as if I have something personal. I have never conflicted with Museveni either money or women so I have nothing personal” Nganda said.

He also narrated how after their arrest, the officers mistreated Hon. Zaake who was in a terrible condition.

“They went insulting us in the car. The way they brought Zaake, because I was the first to be thrown into that ‘Mpawo atali kaaba’ van Zaake, was unconscious but they were still mistreating him. I think they can even shoot a body” he added.
