Former Forum for Democratic Change, FDC Party President Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye has said that President Yoweri Museveni smuggled his son Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba into the military.
While appearing on a locak Television station (NBS) in Kampala this morning, Besigye said Muhoozi was illegally recruited into the UPDF because he did not follow the law while joining the army.
“The law says how one becomes an officer or even an officer cadet of UPDF. How you are invited to the commission of UPDF is a legal matter. He did not pass through that legal procedure, he was smuggled into the Force” Besigye said.
He also accused Muhoozi of recruiting and training a Force in Kasenyi Entebbe when he was still a civilian and when called out, his father claimed he was an LDU.
“Then he was smuggled into the Force as an officer cadet and later on illegally commissioned. He has been promoted illegally because again promotions are a matter of law and administration. The terms and conditions of service for officers of the UPDF are written, they emanate from the UPDF Act. How many reckonable years of service you must put in to be eligible for promotion” he said.
Besigye also accused the first son of heading an illegal Force, the SFC. Lt. Gen. Muhoozi the Commander of Special Forces Command, SFC has been involved in social media feud with Dr. Besigye and NUP’s Robert Kyagulanyi.
