Ugandans girls think that Zungu men come from the planet of romance, love and wealth. But could this be a stereotypical fallacy? There have been a number of Ugandan top celebrities who have gone through the pain of white romance. Some have produced kids with these Zungus thinking that it is the only way to hit a jackpot. Today, we unveil celebs who have been victims of Zungu love.
Angela Katatumba
Angela got married at the age of 25 to a black American. She was a young girl in love trying to achieve her life dream being with an American man. In the first two years, everything was perfect as she was treated like a princess. In some of the media interviews, Angela has acknowledged the fact that she doesn’t know how her man became violent. Angela used to be beaten day and night. She would even sleep outside on streets of America. The guy stopped providing for her. Angela decided to pack her bags and came back to Uganda. Ever since then, she has never been involved in any long term relationship.
Iryn Namubiru
Iryn was married to a French man, Morel. She expected was a blissful relationship and produced two kids with him. Years later, allegations that she was cheating on him with Ugandan men landed on his ears. He started beating up Iryn like a child. Police got involved until they separated. It was a painful relationship for Iryn.
Sylvia Awori
The city fashionista was among the first Kampala women to hook up Zungus. She even has a baby with his first English man. Their relationship didn’t last for long after allegations of cheating came up. Sylvia lied to him that the child was his but it turned out the kid was for former Kampala Mayor Ssebagala.
Esther Akankwasa
It was one of the short-lived relationships. She got married to Nico Damminger in a colourful ceremony amidst friends and families. 13 months into the marriage, she separated with her German husband. The husband said that she used him as his ATM machine.
Bad Black
Bad black went through the pain of her life because of a Zungu. It was painful such that she had to spend years in Luzira prison. She dated David Greenhalgh and they painted Kampala with love but she later stole his of his money and that was the beginning of her problems.
