Robert Kabushenga has given Urban TV a second chance. Urban TV recently poached three influential staff members from Radio city. Brain Mackenzie was the first to leave followed by his best friend Deedan and then Judithiana. Deedan and Mackenzie are already hosting the morning show, Urban Today and are already receiving critism.
A section of Urban TV fans say they are not good enough and that Deedan is always shouting on top of her voice. She doesn’t know what exactly the morning show is about. She is always talking about the celebrities in the city and what they are up to.
At the end of last year, Urban TV almost faced closure as most of its influential staff quit over salary demands that were never fulfilled. The number of viewers dropped and they were no longer making enough revenue. We hope the new recruitments will cause immediate impact on the station.
