Following a year hiatus from Kampala's events calendar, Miss Uganda, a beauty pageant, bounced back this year and is attracting much buzz, but it's not all positive.
Just the other week, the franchise came under fire after a video surfaced on the internet in which one of the contestants was being ridiculed for uttering her school name, Makerere with some accent during auditions.
The franchise is again on the wrong side of the press after adding, Maggie Kigozi, on their list of judges.
She joins fashionista Ahumuza Bryan, and socialite Zari Hassan, who were announced earlier this year. They have all been labeled inexperienced as per matters of pageantry are concerned.
