Celebrated city events promoter, Balaam Barugahara is a strong supporter of President Museveni unlike musician Bobi Wine who is a strong critic of Museveni and his government.
Balaam, who describes Bobi Wine as his personal friend has warned Bobi Wine against disrespecting President Museveni.
"Bobi Wine is my personal friend but we differ in political ideology. I always tell him to stop disrespecting the President by referring to him as 'akasajja ako' among other infamous names. I want President Museveni to fight poverty before he retires," Balaam said in a phone interview during the Capital Gang show on Saturday.
Balaam added that he has been supporting President Museveni since his childhood and his support for the National Resistance Movement (NRM) is not about receiving hefty payments for organizing the party events.
"I have been NRM supporter since childhood. I am a patriotic Ugandan, I have a national ID. I have seen the achievements of NRM since I was a child. The NRM party gives me those deals after competing for them with other events organizers through bidding," he said.
