National Unity Platform leader, Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine has cleared the air about his one-time meeting with the coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation, Gen. Salim Saleh years ago.
Bobi Wine has been on spot for calling Ugandan artists beggars over their recent engagement with Gen Salim Saleh on the issues regarding the entertainment industry.
In an interview, Bobi Wine explained that he used to be friends with Gen Saleh and other people in government but that has since changed due to disagreements on how they run the country.
“ I met Saleh to invite him to my music concert. On that same day, I met with Dr. Kizza Besigye and he came through,” Bobi Wine said in an interview.
He clarified that he had not gone to beg for any financial assistance.
He also asked artists to avoid being used to destroy the industry.
