Mpaka Records boss Ykee Benda has spoken out on the allegation that his artiste, Dre Cali breached a contract he signed with WYSE Technologies Limited, a label he previously worked with.
WYSE claims Dre Cali agreed with Mpaka Records while he still had a running contract with them.
WYSE served Dre Cali to sue, and they want compensation of 82 m.
Commenting on the matter, Ykee said he is not bothered by the case against his artiste.
Ykee Benda explained that the artiste they have is Dre Cali, not Dre 23 who has been sued by WYSE.
“Cali is a name we gave him under Mpaka, we don’t know Dre23. The case is between Dre23 and Katende Andrew. As Mpaka, we are not involved," he explained.
We will keep you posted as the case progresses.
