Musician Ykee Benda was left with unmeasurable disappointment when Dre Cali decided to leave Mpaka Records without notice and eventually run off to Canada.

Ykee had invested a lot in Dre Cali’s music career and he might never forget the losses.

Despite the setback, Ykee Benda is willing to forgive Dre Cali if he ever apologizes.

“I can forgive him but I we can’t do business together. I learned my lesson,” says Ykee Benda.

“I loved Dre Cali. We were more than business buddies. It was more. I have no problem with him leaving, but he should have told me,” Ykee adds.

Dre Cali formerly known as Dre 23, was signed to Mpaka Records in 2019. Under Mpaka Records, he released hits like "Ebisooka N'ebisembayo", "Ekifuba", "Best Thing', and "Singa Manyi".
