I am not appreciated by Ugandans - Miss Uganda cries out

Hannah Karema was crowned Miss Uganda 2023 in March this year.

Upon achieving this milestone, she received negativity and backlash from some Ugandans online who accused her of being a Rwadese.

Karema says she has not been supported enough by Ugandans and many don't appreciate her efforts.

"At this point, I need all the support I can get, because when you get to a point where no one is appreciating what you are doing, sometimes you get tired, no matter how passionate you are,” she said in an interview with a local YouTuber.

Karema has been doing different activities across the country including encouraging young girls to stay in school and promoting menstrual hygiene in schools.
