Musician Ragga Dee, in collaboration with the National Culture Center, launched the jam session at the National Theatre in Kampala this Monday.
The jam session will take place every Monday.
Ragga Dee explained that they are not in competition with Kenzo, but have chosen to revive the jam session at the National Theatre for the good of the industry.
"The Jam Session at the National Theatre was paused due to various issues, but we are glad it's now back and will be held every Monday. We are not competing with Kenzo because ours started in the early '90s, and it has groomed most of the artists you see today. It is for the benefit of all artists," he explained in part during an interview with a local television station.
Ragga Dee believes that both events can coexist for the benefit of the industry.
