Musician Moses Ssali, popularly known as Bebe Cool, believes Bobi Wine should refrain from commenting on issues related to the music industry.
In an interview with a local television station, Bebe Cool explained that Bobi Wine is no longer active in the music industry and, therefore, does not understand the current dynamics. He advised him to focus on politics and other areas he is more familiar with.
"I think he should stop commenting about the music industry because he is no longer active in it. He should focus on politics because we all agree that’s where he is at this time," Bebe Cool said.
Bebe Cool also criticized Bobi Wine for condemning musicians who receive financial support from General Salim Saleh. He argued that Bobi Wine was among the first to seek handouts from the army commander.
“Bobi Wine shouldn’t criticize anyone for receiving money from General Salim Saleh. He was the first one to approach Gen. Saleh and ask for handouts before any of us did,” he added.
Bebe Cool's remarks were in response to Bobi Wine’s comments suggesting that musicians would remain beggars unless they fight for the enactment of the copyright law.
