Events promoter Abbey Musiguzi, also known as Abitex, was among those who attended King Saha's concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The promoter has reason to be thankful for escaping an assault at the event. National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters attempted to attack him, but he was protected by a group who provided security for him throughout the night.
Following the incident, Abitex left the event early, at around 11:00 p.m., and was quickly escorted to a waiting vehicle at the entrance.
NUP supporters, particularly grassroots members, are angry with Abitex due to his continued criticism of Bobi Wine and his policies.
King Saha's concert was largely attended by NUP supporters. The party's president, Bobi Wine, was the chief guest.
