Musician Moses Ssali, aka Bebe Cool, and Robert Kyagulanyi, aka Bobi Wine, once engaged in a music battle at Kyadondo Rugby Grounds.
Until now, the winner of the battle has never been officially announced, even though both sides claimed victory.
Bebe Cool has opened up about the battle, revealing that he tricked Bobi Wine into participating. He wanted revenge after Bobi Wine humiliated Chameleone at Kati Kati Grounds.
"Chameleone was never involved in music politics at that time, but Bobi Wine was. He challenged Chameleone to a battle to humiliate him, and indeed, he succeeded that night. Chameleone knelt on stage and apologized—that was humiliation," he explained.
Bebe Cool says Bobi Wine fell into his trap and ended up being humiliated at the battle. According to him, the Firebase singer left the venue a few minutes past midnight, while Bebe Cool performed until 5:00 a.m.
"I felt bad that he humiliated Chameleone and tricked him into that battle at Kyadondo. I showed him levels, and people still have those videos. He left the venue a few hours past midnight because his catalog was finished, while I performed until 5:00 a.m.," Bebe Cool added.
Bebe Cool believes that artists of this generation should focus on music rather than fights, as they are no longer rewarding.
