Musician Wiclif Tugume, also known as Ykee Benda, has revealed that he has gone four months without engaging in sexual activity.
The singer made the revelation during an interview with Galaxy Television, explaining that he chose to focus on personal goals and targets.
The singer explained that it is good to abstain for personal benefit and that it should never be a problem when one decides to do so.
"I have spent four months without sex, and that shouldn’t be a problem, but rather a way to protect myself so that I can meet my life targets," he explained.
Ykee Benda's statement sparked controversy online, with many speculating how he has managed to survive as a man without engaging in intimacy.
The singer, however, says personal discipline and hard work bring peace and comfort, which has kept him going.
The Mpaaka Records boss also revealed that he quit alcohol and has gone for two months without drinking.
"I am not an alcoholic, but even the little I had learned to taste, I have since given it up, and it has been two months without alcohol," he added.
The singer has been an inspiration to upcoming artists with his choice of investing in different businesses outside of music, such as education and marketing, despite being an artist.
