A Ugandan journalist, Nancy Kacungira who won the first BBC World News Komla Dumor Award last month, has finally received it.
The award was established as a tribute to the BBC journalist who passed away last year, aged 41.
As part of the award, which seeks to promote excellence in African journalism, Nancy will spend the next three months working at the BBC's headquarters in London and sharing her experiences as news anchor for KTN Kenya.
Nancy has been working as a television anchor for Kenya's KTN television channel, was selected from nearly 200 applicants.
