The police in Kampala are searching for a one Jeff, to help in the investigations of a young man who murdered his little innocent brother as a sacrifice to the devil for riches.
The suspect is identified as 21year old Herbert Were a resident of Busia.
According to the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson Patrick Onyango, the suspect was arrested from Kajjansi.
“We got information that there was somebody who was carrying a human head in a small bag, which human head was still fresh. Immediately we responded we went to where that person was and indeed we got the person with a human head and arrested him,” Onyango explains.
Onyango adds that; “On interrogation, the person confessed to us that there is a business man in Kampala whom they got connected with through Whatsapp, they chatted and this man convinced him that he will link him or make him join the illuminati movement where he will become rich. And among the requirements were that he was supposed to produce a human head and it should be one of his close relatives.”
According to the police mouth piece, Were at this moment went and convinced his younger brother, and last born of his family who is about six years old, (Joel Ogema) took him to the busy, and mercilessly chopped off his head, and threw the remaining body into a river found in Namasere in Busia, and embark on his journey to Kampala.
The police searched Were’s phone and found a message from ‘Jeff’ asking the suspect not to call him as it was not a secure move, but to come to a bar in Kabalagala called Dejavu.
“You can’t call me cm at kabalagala and find the club called DEJAVU,” the short message read.
Were told police that a man called Jeff asked him to make a human sacrifice, before recruiting him into the infamous cult “Illuminati.”
“He sent me messages on Facebook, he sent me the advert plus phone numbers. I went to Busia and convinced the child to come with me to Bugiri. I cut off his head, and put it in a polythene bag. I got transport around 4:00PM and started my journey,” Were explained.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing, to ascertain if the Jeff in this case is the re-known city music promoter, and owner of DEJAVU club, the bar in question, or another business man with a similar name. it is at the same bar, that the youngest Mayanja son, and singer AK47 mysteriously lost his young life last year.
