Ntungamo district is mourning one of its formerly most respected men who unfortunately lost suffered a disgraceful death.
Hannington Musasizi Kanyate, a former Ruhaama Constituency MP Contestant breathed his last at Mulago hospital last evening after succumbing to a deep wound inflicted by his wife Joan Najjuma.
It is alleged that Musasizi, once a respected member of society who even challenged First Lady Janet Museveni and nearly cost her the Ruhaama seat in the heated 2011 elections had for long been watering his house maid’s flower, behind his wife’s back.
On the fateful night of Thursday August 25th, a pregnant Najjuma allegedly stabbed her cheating husband in the chest, causing his eventual death.
Reports indicate that Musasizi had in the past picked his wife (Najjuma) from office until his Annet Turyamushaba (house maid) started feeding him on some fresh thighs causing him to forget about the heavily pregnant Najjuma.
On Thursday, Musasizi was stuck in Turyamushaba’s honey pot drilling like there was no problems in his life until one led to his death. A pissed off Najjuma got home at around 11:00PM after calling her husband thousands of times in vain.
To her shock, the respected, lovely husband and father of two was busy drilling oil from Turyamushaba’s wells as she too encouraged him. Najjuma could not take the shame and disgrace that had befallen her family, prompting her to pick a sharp knife from the kitchen and stabbing her husband where it hurt the most that he would never ‘hurt’ ever again.
Like any killer on a mission, Najjuma was not about to help her dying husband even when he pleaded for mercy. She left him to bleed to near death and would later call in a cab and whisk him to Mulago hospital.
Musasizi was put under intensive care until last evening when he breathed his last.
Meanwhile, Najjuma and her maid Turyamushaba were arrested to help police with investigations. According to neighbors, Najjuma lied that thugs had stabbed her husband and not her killer hands.
Turyamushaba on the other hand survived by hiding in a toilet and will live to tell the story of a man who died in her honey pot.
Musasizi’s disgraced body will be laid to rest this week in his home district of Ntungamo.
