DStv Uganda subscribers might have to think twice before purchasing a new subscription for their corresponding DStv packages. Yesterday, DStv Uganda publicly announced the increase in the subscription rates through their social media platform.
Now, DStv Uganda subscribers will have to pay;
Premium – UGX 241,500,
Compact Plus – UGX 155,250,
Compact – UGX 94,875,
Family – UGX 57,500,
Access – UGX 28,750.
While PVR and XtraView subscribers will incur an extra UGX 28,750 to all the above rates.
The increase in the subscription rates was attributed to the weakening of Uganda Shillings against Dollars. On 7th January, commercial banks quoted the shilling at --- 2,830 -- 2,840.
DStv Uganda took it to their social media and posted that “This increment is in light of the continued depreciation of the UGX against the US Dollar. Our dollar rate is now at UGX 2,875.”
