Musician Joshua Baraka has been at the top of the Ugandan music industry for almost three years now, but he only has a few performances in Kampala and Uganda as a whole.

He has performed more in Nigeria and outside Africa, particularly in the United Kingdom.

The "Nana" hitmaker explained that promoters in Uganda find it hard to book him because of his rate card. His price is high depending on the investment he puts into his music.

"I wouldn't say it's hard to book me back here, but it's because promoters are afraid of my rate card. I put a lot into music, and my rate card matches that. Some people just don't want to pay that money because they are not used to it, and those who can afford it have paid it, and I have performed here," he explained in an interview with a local television station.

The singer adds that he increased his prices to create demand. He doesn't want to be everywhere.

"I set my price, and those people who match it can book me. I don't have to perform everywhere just to show face," he added.
