Court has this afternoon officially dismissed a case in which city socialite SK Mbuga was accused of mercilessly thumping and causing bodily harm to his bonkmate, struggling Singer Leila Kayondo.
The development comes after the chief magistrate Richard Mafabi at Makindye court was satisfied by the fact that what happened was a small lovers quarrel, and the two lovebirds had reconciled.
Mafabi also argued that courts are encouraged to promote reconciliation.
He ruled; “Court is satisfied that no one was coarsed or put under any due influence to suppress this case. Proceedings in this matter are here by terminated and the accused (Mbuga) is discharged and he is at liberty unless held in other charges.”
The magistrate also noted that the cry-baby Ms Kayondo had made an additional police statement withdrawing the case
