East Africa’s first BET Award winner Edirisa Musuuza well known as Eddy Kenzo has ordered government to release opposition leader and FDC presidential candidate, Kizza Besigye who many think lost elections unfairly.
Kenzo took to Facebook to join has joined the social media campaign calling for the freeing of Kizza Besigye who was arrested yesterday and today in the morning.
The campaign which has also got other artists involved …the likes of Bobi Wine is going viral. The photo of Kizza Besigye with a word free Kizza Besigye under harsh tag #FreeBesigye is making rounds on social media.
However, a section of public is not happy with Kenzo involving himself in politics, considering the fact his girlfriend Rema, participated in song, Tubonga Nawe, which has brought back Museveni in power.
Others are saying Kenzo in 2011 elections supported Museveni with his song ‘Stamina’ being used as a campaign theme! And therefore requesting him to leave issues of the generals to generals.
