The once upon time Ugandan dancehall singer Tony Lubega aka Red Banton has finally risen from the dead and forgotten musician, actually those who no longer remember that they were once musicians, the likes of Qute Kaye, Chagga Yaga, Megga Dee, Kid fox and many more.
Now this faded singer resurfaced after being spotted on Lord Mayor Lukwago’s swearing in ceremony yesterday where he performed his “Sivva Kampala” song, literally being the Lord Mayor’s message to his persecutors; those who had taken over his office for the past two years.
Unfortunately, Red Banton has lost himself in “Buveeraa waragi” that one can hardly recognize him unless he sings. What remains of this man, is a pot belly and a kwashiorkor like man.
Welcome back man, you still have some fans evidently the lord mayor is one of them.
