Media personality Miles Rwamitti has announced his intention to contest for the position of Nakawa West constituency in the upcoming 2026 general elections.
He is ready to unseat Joel Senyonyi from the position and says the people of Nakawa West asked him to stand.
Rwamitti explained that Joel Ssenyonyi has been in parliament for this term but hasn't done anything tangible for his constituents. He wants to change things and bring service to his people.
"I have the support of the people. He hasn't done anything good for the people of Nakawa West. We need him out, and I will change things when I get to parliament," he explained in an interview with a local television station.
In the last 2021 general elections, Miles Rwamitti lost terribly in the Hoima MP race and only managed to get 149 votes.
