Entebbe Municipality Member of Parliament, Rosemary Tumusiime has lost her daughter to an accident in Entebbe this morning.
According to eye witnesses, Doreen Tashobya who was travelling on a bodaboda was knocked dead by a tipper registration number UAT 872J near Muzinga Park opposite state house Entebbe early this morning.
Witnesses also described the scene as horrific.
Reports indicate that Tashobya, who recently graduated from Makerere University Business School, was riding on a motorcycle with Patrick Busingye, he mother’s employee on her way to work.
She formerly operated a mobile money shop in Entebbe town.
Godfrey Ninsiima, the Entebbe District Police Commander, says the driver of the tipper truck rammed into the motorcycle, which was trying to branch off the main road killing both Tashobya and Busingye.
Ninsiima was quoted as saying that; "Both the passenger and the cyclist died on spot and their bodies have been taken to Mulago Hospital.”
