Singer Irene Namubiru could end up in jail one of these days for failure to pay 50 million to Lyto Boss as compensation and damages over the criminal case of ownership of “Anjagala” song.

The “Emunyenye” singer has been asked by court to compensate back little boss, however Irene is having financial problems and it seems time is running out for her which could only land her into a jail cell.

The “Anjagala” song initially was written by Lyto Boss who sold it to Catherine Kusasira then to Irene Namubiru. But then later he went ahead and sang it himself when neither of the two paid him for the song.

So last year, Irene sued Lyto Boss and of which now the tables have turned to Irene after Little Boss filed a case basing on the ownership of the song which legally belongs to him and won the case.

Other than that, the police has come up to support Ugandan artists to uphold the copyright law in order to value their work especially musicians who have been fighting over ownership of songs, beats and the flow.
