Singer and Philanthropist Angella Katatumba has this morning been honored by the Queen of Buganda, Nnabagereka Sylivia Nagginda who invited her to share her NGO, AKDF's success story at the African Philanthropy Forum (APF) exclusive breakfast meeting at the Kampala Sheraton Hotel.
The meeting was co-hosted by the queen through her Nnabagereka Development Foundation and APF to discuss Growing Philanthropy At Home.
Other key speakers were New Vision CEO Robert Kabushenga, Julian Omalla of Cheers Delight Ltd.
In attendance was Cabinet Minister Hon. Maria Kiwanuka, UN Women Representative Hodan Addou and APF Executive Directors Ndindi Nwuneli and Tsitsi Masiyiwa who all recognised the 'Mulago Yaffe' singer for her music and remarkable social work in the country.
Word has it that Angella will represent East Africa at the Sub-Sahara Continental Philanthropy Conference in Rabat, Morocco on 17-18 October, 2016.
