Lupita Nyong’o's romantic attachments are no longer in doubt!
In the latest issue of ‘Vogue,’ the 12 Years a Slave star told Hamish Bowles that she is, in fact, dating “Wavin' Flag” singer K’Naan.
The two were recently spotted at a Brooklyn restaurant, sparking speculation about whether they were an item or just friends.
Hamish writes that the couple is perfectly matched because of “the myriad issues confronting their homelands” - Somalia for the singer and Kenya for the actress.
Lupita also tells Vogue that she hopes to star in a staged version of Danai Gurira’s Eclipsed, while equally gunning for the opportunity to participate in a film adaption of Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s Americanah.
The 31-year-old's star continues to rise thanks to her Oscar-winning performance in 12 Years a Slave, co-starring Michael Fassbender and Brad Pitt. Since her win, the starlet has become a favourite on red carpet best-dressed lists.
About the red carpet, Lupita says, “Nothing can prepare you for awards season. The red carpet feels like a war zone, except you cannot fly or fight; you just have to stand there and take it.”
Fearing the wrath her comment could evoke, Lupita quickly added, “I hope they don’t make that the big quote! Because that would be sad! Tell them not to do that!”
