TV personality Miles Rwamiti confirmed that he lost the Hoima East constituency seat because he was financially unstable.
Rwamiti disclosed that he never had any financier, he relied on his savings.
He thought the party structures for FDC and his celebrity status would propel his success but he was shocked when the electorates demanded cash to cast votes.
"I used my savings which eventually dried up. I did have any sponsors yet voters wanted money," he said in an interview with a local newspaper.
Rwamiti also blamed his friends and close family members who never be believed in him.
"Close friends and family members never believed in me. It was my wife and younger sister who tried to support me," he said.
Rwamiti is currently the Station Manager of Urban TV.
