Musician Maurice Kirya is known for associating with few people in the music industry.
The singer is rarely seen with fellow musicians in public.
He doesn't like the fact that most musicians spend most of their time backbiting each other.
Maurice took to his social media platform to criticize this behaviour.
“Some of the most talented artists I know in Uganda spend most of their time gossiping about other artists and how they think they are better than them, Instead of getting in the studio and putting their talent to work,” he posted online.
He advised the musicians involved in chattering to stop.
“So this goes out to you talented artists, if you think you’re good, stop trying to discourage artists that are actually doing the work and putting it out there. They are brave, and they’re following their dreams,” he added.
A few months ago, songwriter Nince Henry also hinted that most musicians are involved in witchcraft.
