Bebe Cool, known for his political activism, has been cautioned by his wife, Zuena Kirema, against encouraging their children to follow in his footsteps.
In an interview, Zuena described politics as a "filthy game that may be very expensive" adding that she cannot support it.
Despite Bebe Cool's involvement in politics and allegiance to the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM), Zuena said that he prefers to keep a distance and avoid getting involved.
She emphasized that her focus is on raising their children, and she has no interest in politics or learning about it.
"I vowed not to go there. No..no…I don’t want politics. I don’t talk about politics either, and I have no interest in learning about it. My first concern is parenting my children. I’m here to raise my kids," Zuena said.
Bebe Cool's political activism has not only earned him enemies but also had an impact on his music career. He has faced criticism and opposition from fans and friends, similar to his rival, Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu, popularly known as Bobi Wine.
During performances, Bebe Cool has been heckled and had bottles thrown at him by angry fans, while Bobi Wine has been barred from performing or holding concerts in Uganda.
