"We’ve been having too many challenges in the family," Bitter Mayanja said in an interview with a local television station. "People say they want us to fall so others can rise, as if they created us. If you don't like someone, God likes them and that is why he is still alive."
Both Chameleon and Humphrey are reported to be suffering from stomach-related issues. Gerrard Mayanja said that his sons have been in and out of the hospital for months, and that the surgery was a last resort.
"We tried everything else, but nothing worked," he said. "We had to go for surgery."
Gerrard Mayanja said that he is hopeful that his sons will make a full recovery. He also urged people to stop wishing ill on others, and to instead focus on their own lives.
"Don't waste your time hating on others," he said. "Focus on your own life and make it better."
