Musician Winnie Nwagi is not shy about making bold statements. Speaking in an interview with a local television station, Nwagi demanded a public holiday in celebration of her birthday.

Nwagi explained she was born a musician and a star who has done it all for Ugandan music and its fans, and it's high time they celebrated her.

"Music is what I do, music is my job. I was born for it. On July 20th, a star was born, and it should be a public holiday..." she partly responded to a journalist who praised her singing abilities.

Nwagi is the second female musician in Uganda to stage a successful concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala. Cindy did it first.
