Celebrity preacher Pastor Franklin Mondo Mugisha has claimed that the tithe paid in churches benefits pastors rather than the church itself.
Mondo explained that pastors use the money to cover personal expenses, support their families, and fund their luxurious lifestyles.
"The tithe you give in church goes to us pastors. We use it to support our families, cover personal needs, and manage other responsibilities. Don’t be fooled—it's we pastors who use that money, not God. But still, God blesses you for giving," he revealed in a live TikTok video.
Despite this, Mondo says that God blesses the giver of the tithe because they have contributed to the church, which ultimately benefits the pastor.
