Over the weekend, former Leader of the Opposition Mathias Mpuuga and musician Alien Skin launched a coalition aimed at changing Uganda’s government.

The coalition, named the Democratic Alliance, includes members of the DP Bloc.

However, events promoter Abitex has expressed skepticism about the coalition's future.

He argued that Mpuuga and his allies are more focused on weakening Bobi Wine’s influence in the Buganda region than on bringing about significant political change.

"The coalition of Mpuuga and Alien Skin has no future in politics. I don’t think they are genuinely aiming to change the government. They’re simply targeting Bobi Wine’s influence in Buganda, and I doubt they will succeed," Abitex said during an interview with a local TV station.
