Despite the controversy surrounding Bongo’s finest artistes Diamond and Ali Kiba, Diamond has stayed on top! This came after a rigorous campaign period that saw Ali Kiba fans lash out against him, claiming that they would rather if Davido walked away with MAMAs Male artiste.
Despite it all, he proved himself, scooping the Best Live Act at the MAMAs last weekend.
Soon After his win, his ex Jokate Mwegelo who had been an avid supporter of Ali Kiba and has been linked to having a relationship with both stars took to congratulate the star for making Tanzania proud.
Her warm wishes were however received with an Instagram “diss” video posted by Diamond.
In his video, Diamond posted a photo of Jokate singing and dancing to his music with the captions “Mbona bado, mtanyooka tu...”. This was interpreted by many to mean that even the likes of Jokate and other Ali Kiba supporters would soon appreciate him as king!
This immediately sparked off debate with Jokate claiming that she did not like how he had responded and if at all Diamond had issues with her and Ali Kiba he should simply move on with his life!
