Award-winning film star Angelina Jolie has admitted she almost cut scenes from her new movie after she felt self-conscious about having her breasts removed.
In 2013, Jolie decided to have them removed after learning she had 87 percent risk of developing breast cancer.
The actress has also had her ovaries and fallopian tubes removed in March this year.
Jolie got candid about her health in the new issue of Wall Street Journal Magazine. She divulged why she removed her fallopian tubes and did double mastectomy.
The artist, who once revealed she had a history of cancer, said she took the bold step for her kids- she wanted her family to know she would always be fine erasing any form of fear from their minds.
“I want to make sure my kids are never worried about me. Even if I’m going through something, I make sure they are very aware that I’m totally fine. I’ll stop and make a joke. I talk to them,” Jolie says.
“I never, ever want them to have that secret worry and feel that they have to take care of me,” she added.
Her fears after removing breasts
Angelina Jolie, who stars in By The Sea alongside husband Brad Pitt, reportedly said there were many scenes she wanted to remove or change. In particular she wanted to cut a scene where she was nude in the bath.
She explained: “I realised it would be me in that bathtub” added that it made her self-conscious about people analysing her, her marriage or mastectomy.
She kept the scene in though, because to take it out would have been ‘cheating’.
