Remember the boxer who used to bonk Juliana mercilessly? The boxer who made Juliana compose the song Kibaluma after the public went hard on JK then!
Yes, Ugandan boxer Kassim Ouma ‘the dream’ is back in news not for Juliana Kanyomozi and dealing in drugs but, to revive his dreams of revenge with a Russian boxer.
The latest is that Kassim ‘The Dream’ Ouma has traveled to Russia to face Igor Selivanov in St. Petersburg on Sunday as he returns after a spell of close to two years without a serious fight.
Ouma last fought on December 11, 2013 when he beat Rahman Mustapha Yusubov on unanimous point’s decision and the Ugandan former World Champion returns in a build-up bout to return big on the world map.
The 38-year-old has a daunting task ahead of him against the Russian who boasts of an unbeaten record of 10 fights with 6 knockouts. Ouma has fought 38 times, winning 30, 17 knockout.
Eddy Bazira, the fight promoter says Ouma has been in perfect shape during his training in Kenya and he hopes for the best in the East.
"I am impressed by his (Ouma’s) work rate. I think he can deliver. If he wins this fight, Ouma will have big fights in the near future," he told New Vision.
US based Ouma will look forward to brushing off charges of felony cocaine possession stemming from an incident where he allegedly knocked out a man who made gay advances toward him in April last year.
