Chief Magistrate Lillian Buchana has adjourned to November 16th 2016 the case in which opposition leader Kizza Besigye is charged with treason.
Besigye appeared before Buchana this morning at Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court and asked her to rule on the case which the iron man believes is intentionally being dragged by the prosecution.
He says prosecution has failed to avail court with enough evidence and should drop the ridiculous charges immediately.
Besigye also told court that he has to report to high court as a Bail condition and also is expected to keep appearing before Nakawa court something that is interfering with his work.
He asked Buchana to set dates that fall in the same week as that of High court so that he can settle both and move on.
On the other hand, Principle state Attorney Deborah Etau told court that investigations are in advanced stage, prompting the adjournment.
Besigye was arrested in May and charged with treason for swearing himself in as the president of Uganda after losing the February 18th presidential election.
